SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes expending up to $300,000 for replacement of the golf cart storage barn at Ottawa Golf Course. An evaluation of the building revealed serious structural defects that were beyond simple repairs. This project will also bring the structure up to current safety codes. Funds for this project were allocated in the approved mid-year budget adjustment to the Capital Improvement fund.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. The expenditure of an amount not to exceed $300,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-40100-8CP2230PRKINF for replacement of a pole building structure at the Ottawa Golf Course.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1 upon terms and conditions as acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Parks and Youth Services.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in payment of the above authorized obligations in amounts not to exceed $300,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
