SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Road and Bridge Maintenance has successfully applied for and received funding assistance from ODOT and OPWC for the construction of the Secor Road Bridge over the Ottawa River as authorized by Ordinance 162-22. Most of the construction will be covered by grant funds. Ottawa Hills has agreed to pay for their portion of the design, engineering, and right-of-way as well as 50% of construction match costs for an amount not to exceed $190,000.00.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into and execute an agreement with and accept financial assistance from the Village of Ottawa Hills for the construction of Secor Road Bridge over Ottawa River upon such terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Transportation and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from the Village of Ottawa Hills into the Capital Improvements Project Fund to Account Code 540G-23100-GA7810STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $190,000 for the construction of Secor Bridge over the Ottawa River.
SECTION 3. That an amount not to exceed $190,000.00 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds in the Capital Improvement Grant Fund to Account Code 540G-23100-GA7810STDSTD; and that this amount is authorized...
