SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Solid Waste Division anticipated multiple landfill infrastructure related projects when preparing the 2021 Budget, one of which was removing sediment from three landfill stormwater ponds, removing vegetation from said ponds, and rehabilitating the outlet structure of one pond. This work is necessary not only to comply with the requirements of the landfill's new operating permit, but also ensured continued compliance with operating provisions contained in Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3745-27-19. Funding for said infrastructure project was included in the Division's approved operating budget for 2021 as authorized by Ordinance 470-20/36-21. The Division of Solid Waste duly solicited bids to complete said work.
