SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo's Fire and Rescue Department has received a donation from Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association for an amount not to exceed $26,000. This donation is to be used specifically for the purchase of two pre-arranged orders of public education equipment. One purchase will be for a Fire Extinguisher Training Simulator used for realistic hands on fire extinguisher training. And the remaining purchase will be for Rescue & Extrication Mannequins used to provide realistic rescue training situations. The Toledo Old Newsboys Paper has made this donation to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department's Public Education Efforts. This donation is being made with the intention to better equip the TFRD's Public Education Officer in the goal of furthering training, education, and awareness of citizens in fire safety, prevention, and protection.
