Title: Authorizing the Mayor to accept and deposit an Incentive Award in the amount of $95,401 from the State of Ohio, Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in connection with Fiscal Year 2019 Justice Reinvestment and Incentive Grant (JRIG). SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Municipal Court was awarded the J.R.I.G from the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction effective December 1, 2017 - June 30, 2019. The J.R.I.G included an incentive award provision that allowed the grantee to receive additional funds for successfully meeting specific performance goals related to offender treatment, jail population reduction/diversion, staff training and reduced recidivism. A recent assessment of the Toledo Municipal Court Probation Department's goal performance by the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction resulted in the issuance of the current Incentive award for meeting all incentive goals. The Incentive Award expenditures shall be separate from any expenditure in the J.R.I.G total.
