SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

 

This Ordinance authorizes the City to enter into an agreement for hosting and systems administration for the finance SAP-ERP system. As part of this agreement the city will transition to a third-party provider such as AWS, Google, Azure or other. Finance will use a competitive but informal process to procure these services. Budget is included annually in the Finance ERP Team operating budget for hosting and systems support.  

 

 

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                      SECTION 1.  That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a hosting and systems administration agreement for the SAP-ERP finance system for a term not to exceed four years, upon such terms and conditions as acceptable to the Director of Finance and the Director of Law.

 

                              SECTION 2. That, subject to appropriation, an amount not to exceed $2,100,000 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund, Account Code 1001-14700-1110ERPSTDSTD, for the purpose identified in Section 1.

 

                     SECTION 3. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the city to waive the formal competitive procurement requirements of Toledo Municipal Code Chapter 187 for the reason that   .

 

                                

                     SECTION 4.  That the Finance Director is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in payment of the obligations incurred pursuant to the agreement authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

 

                     SECTION 5.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in full force and affect from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to permit the continued uninterrupted necessary services identified herein.
