SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
On February 1, 2024, a Toledo Fire & Rescue Department firefighter caused $14,000 of damages to Canada Sanders’ 2015 Chrysler 300.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That issuance of a payment in the amount of $14,000 to Canada Sanders is approved.
SECTION 2. That payment of these claims is contingent upon the execution of the proper release by the claimant.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants to Canada Sanders and his attorney, Brian Vicente, in the sum of $14,000 against Account No. 7095-12000-1157001STDSTD upon presentation of the proper vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance being an emergency measure shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and for the further reason that this ordinance must be immediately effective in order to implement the settlement.
