SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

This ordinance authorizes a contract for the Lake Erie Starts Here media campaign as managed by Lucas County Engineering. This is a regional campaign and our participation in the campaign allows for the collection of metrics needed for reporting activities tied to our NPDES permit to Ohio EPA.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1.                      That the mayor is authorized to enter into a one-year contract with two one-year renewal options for the Lake Erie Starts Here media campaign upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Public Utilities.

 

SECTION 2.                      That subject to future appropriations the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $15,984 annually is authorized from the Storm Water Operating Fund Account Code 607A-38000-4000552STDSTD for the Lake Erie Starts Here campaign.

 

SECTION 3.                      That the Director of Finance is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the account code above in an amount not to exceed $15,984, in payment of the obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.  

                     

SECTION 4.                      That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property of the city and for the further reason that this ordinance must be immediately effective in order to implement this program within the campaign’s designated time schedule.
