SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City seeks to enter a contract with executive search consultants, Ralph Andersen& Associates, for the identification, evaluation, and screening of applicants for the positions of Chief of Police This position is vital to the operation of the City and therefore candidates need to be identified and hired as expeditiously as possible. The agreement will be for a term not to exceed one year. Ralph Andersen & Associates is best-suited to achieve the City's objective of filling this critical job within the administration.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Ralph Andersen & Associates for the identification, evaluation, and screening of applicants for the position of Chief of Police for a term not to exceed one year and upon other terms and conditions deemed proper and requisite according to the Mayor, Director of Law, and the Director of Human Resources.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $50,000.00 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund, Account Code 1001-17100-1156001STDSTD, for payment for professional services of Ralph Andersen & Associates.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of obligations as authorized upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
