SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes expending up to $100,000 for improvements to the paved trail and parking lots at Walbridge Park. An evaluation of the pavement at Walbridge Park resulted in a recommendation of the proposed asphalt improvement techniques to extend the life of the existing paved trail and parking lots. This project will also ensure that the paved trail remains barrier-free and accessible to all city residents. Funds for this project were allocated in the approved mid-year budget adjustment to the Capital Improvement fund.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. The expenditure of an amount not to exceed $100,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-40100-8CP2215PRKIMP for improvements to the paved trail and parking lots at Walbridge Park.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1 upon terms and conditions as acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Parks and Youth Services.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in amounts not to exceed $100,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
