SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This expenditure is for the purchase of Toledo Police Department Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) video cameras from i2C Technologies, Ltd. The cameras from this purchase are to be installed in City of Toledo parks. Bids were solicited for a prior purchase on Planet Bids and i2C Technologies, Ltd. was the winning bidder (Ord. 362-22). The request for waiving the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187 is to maintain compatibility.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $150,000 is authorized from the the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-52000-8CP2231CAMPRK for the purchase of video cameras and related services for the Toledo Police Department's Real Time Crime Center (RTCC).

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an amended agreement with i2C Technologies, Ltd. for the purpose specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Police and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that i2C Technologies, Ltd. is the current provider needed to maintain compatibility with the current Real Time Crime Center's system.
