SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes expending an amount not to exceed $130,000 from appropriated General Fund to have a new fence installed around the Scott Park Police sub-station to enhance security for police officer's safety and vehicles.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $130,000 is authorized from the General Fund Account Code 1001-52000-3381002STDSTD for a new fence to be installed around the Scott Park Police sub-station.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Law and the Director of Public Service.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $130,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow the timely installation of a new fence around the Scott Park Police sub-station.
