SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Road and Bridge Maintenance has successfully applied for and received funding assistance from OPWC and ODOT for the construction of Secor Road Bridge over the Ottawa River as authorized by Ordinance 162-22. Part of the construction cost includes the replacement of a set of communication lines owned by AT&T Ohio. AT&T Ohio has agreed to pay for the cost associated with the replacement of these communication lines throughout the construction of the new bridge.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into and execute an agreement with and accept financial assistance from AT&T Ohio for the construction of Secor Road Bridge over Ottawa River upon such terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Transportation and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from AT&T Ohio into the Capital Improvements Project Fund to Account Code 540G-23100-8GA7811STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $234,055 for the construction of Secor Bridge over the Ottawa River.
SECTION 3. That an amount not to exceed $234,055 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds in the Capital Improvement Project Fund to the account code listed above; and that this amount is authorized for expenditure for the purposes set forth herein.
