Title

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The Frederick Douglass Community Association submitted a District Improvement Program application for a new sign at the former Boss Park with the new name, Honorable Myron Duhart Park.  The District Improvement Review Committee convened on August 22, 2022, and recommended approval of this application in an amount of $2,589.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1. That a sum of $2,589 is authorized for expenditure from Account Code 5040-16400-8CP2132DNGPRO for the District Improvement Program, Honorable Myron Duhart Park sign.

 

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary contract for the District Improvement Program, Honorable Myron Duhart Park sign, upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Economic Development, the Director of Parks & Youth Services, and the Director of Law.

 

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

 

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and so that this project can be initiated as soon as possible to replace the sign at the Honorable Myron Duhart Park.
