SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded funding and is invited to enter into a grant agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) Green Infrastructure in Shoreline Communities Program grant in the amount of $600,000 to be used for the Schneider Park Green Infrastructure (GI) Project. This ordinance authorizes the mayor to accept, deposit, appropriate and expend up to $600,000 in grant proceeds from the EPA.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to execute all necessary Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant documents with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the Schneider Park Green Infrastructure Project upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from the EPA's Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant in an amount not to exceed $600,000, into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-38000-6G00311STDSTD.

SECTION 3. That the appropriation from the unappropriated grant proceeds in an amount not to exceed $600,000 is authorized from the Operation Grants Fund into Account Code 2016-38000-6G00311STDSTD; and further autho...
