SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo owns 22 buildings currently occupied by Fire and Rescue personnel as either 24/7 fire stations or administrative offices requiring a detailed property condition assessment identifying current facility condition deficiencies and subsequent remediation recommendations and correction prioritizations for immediate and future capital improvement planning.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and enter contracts necessary to complete the Fire Station Condition Feasibility Study. Said contracts shall contain such terms and conditions as the Mayor may deem requisite and proper and shall be subject to approval by the Department of Law and the Director of Fire.

SECTION 2. That an expenditure not to exceed $100,000.00 is authorized from the General Fund, Account Code 1001-26100-1147014STDSTD and an amount not to exceed $11,576.00 is authorized from General Fund Account Code 1001-53000-3341002MAINTB for the payment of said contractual services.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants against the above Account Codes in an amount not to exceed $111,576.00, in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of the proper voucher(s).

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public healt...
