SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Petitioner has filed a request to vacate the 20-foot alley running north of Laskey Road and adjacent to Lots 1 and 2 in the Lawrence Place Subdivision in Toledo, Lucas County Ohio.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby declare its intent to vacate the alley further described below:
Alley Vacation Lawrence Place
20' alley to be vacated is part of the recorded plat of Lawrence Place, recorded in Volume 45 Page 17, Book of Plats, City of Toledo and described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 in said Lawrence Place, currently defined by a drill hole set in concrete walk;
thence North 00 degrees 08 minutes 23 seconds West along the east line of said Lot 1 and also the west line of said alley 68.66 feet to a set capped iron bar;
thence South 27 degrees 44 minutes 27 seconds East along the northeast line of said Lot 1 extended southeast 8.32 feet to a point;
thence North 74 degrees 37 minutes 14 seconds East along the northerly line of Lot 2 in said Lawrence Place extended southwesterly 16.73 feet to a set capped iron bar;
thence South 00 degrees 08 minutes 23 seconds East along the west line of said Lot 2 65.68 feet to a set capped iron bar, also being the north right-of-way line of Laskey Road;
thence South 89 degrees 51 minutes 37 seconds West along said north right-of-way line 20.00 feet to Point of Beginning.
Containing 1275.356 Square Feet
SECTION 2. That this matter be referred to the Toledo City Plan Commission for its review, recommendation and appropriate hearing date.
