SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the expenditure of $43,183.45 from the Capital Improvement Fund for the purchase of 65 chairs from Continental Office for City Council offices, conference room and Council Chambers. The 2022 CIP Budget contains an appropriation of $50,000 for this purpose.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the amount of $43,183.45 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2221CONFUR for 65 chairs from Continental Office, under State Term contract pricing, for City Council.
SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in payment of the obligation authorized in an amount of $43,183.45 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to purchase chairs for City Council Chambers, offices and conference room.
