Recognizing the American Cultural Exchange Service and their students for completion of the 2021 - 2022 school year and their contributions to the community.
Summary
WHEREAS, the American Cultural Exchange Service is an exchange program, which includes a high school exchange allowing students from outside of the United States to live for a year in communities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan; and
WHEREAS, students participating in the program take part in enrichment activities to develop and improve their leadership potential; and
WHEREAS, students complete volunteer hours with various charitable organizations resulting in the betterment of the communities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan; and
WHEREAS, students have completed the 2021 - 2022 school year as part of the American Cultural Exchange Service; and
WHEREAS, Toledo City Council recognizes the positive impact that cultural exchange programs have on both the participants and the communities that the participants live throughout the world; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the American Cultural Exchange Service and its students are hereby recognized and commended for the completion of the 2021 - 2022 school year and Toledo City Council gives sincere wishes for their continued success.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
