SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Road & Bridge Maintenance has successfully applied and received funding assistance for the construction of Secor Road Bridge over the Ottawa River. This funding assistance is in the form of a grant from ODOT Municipal Bridge funds as well as a grant from OPWC. Resolution 460-20 authorized an agreement with the Village of Ottawa Hills and application to OPWC. Construction cost is Grant funds of $2,000,000 from ODOT and $656,744 from OPWC will pay for the majority of construction costs. The remaining cost will be shared equally between the Village of Ottawa Hills and the City of Toledo. Sufficient match funds for the City of Toledo portion are provided in the 2022 Bridges Matches and Planning budget.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with ODOT to accept and deposit an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for the construction of Secor Road Bridge over Ottawa River.
