SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Alexis & Detroit Auto Parts LLC, dba A&D Auto Parts for the removal of salvage vehicles from the Toledo Police Impound Lot. A competitive bid solicitation was posted on Planet Bids and Alexis & Detroit Auto Parts LLC, dba A&D Auto Parts submitted the highest value bid.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement for one (1) year, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms with Alexis & Detroit Auto Parts LLC, dba A&D Auto Parts for the removal of salvage vehicles at the Toledo Police Impound Lot. 

 

                     SECTION 2. That the amount of $488 per salvage vehicle is authorized for deposit into the Municipal Tow Lot Fund Account Code 607T-52000-3391001STDSTD.

 

                     SECTION 3.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to continue the efficient operation of the impound lot.
