SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes expending an amount not to exceed $400,000 from appropriated CIP funds included in the approved 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan for the replacement of two (2) chillers located at the Ottawa Park ice rink.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $400,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-26100-8CP2207ICERNK for the purchase and installation of two (2) Chillers for the Ottawa Park ice rink.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purpose specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Public Service.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his or her warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $400,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow the timely replacement of major mechanical systems to the...
