SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes expending an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 from appropriated CIP funds for roof replacements at city-owned buildings, as part of the approved 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan ($1,550,000 was included for building improvements and HVAC). Facility Operations has identified roofs that require replacement at the following locations and estimated costs: the Ottawa Park Ice Rink $200,000, the Westwood Avenue Transportation building $500,000 and the SB&H Central Avenue building $300,000.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-26100-8CP2206ROOFRE for roof replacements at city-owned buildings.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Law and the Director of Public Service.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his or her warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
