SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Toledo City Council has requested that the city install LED street lighting at Elmer Drive on the southeast corner of the intersection at N. Holland Sylvania to protect and provide nighttime safety to the area residents. This legislation proposes to install one (1) LED street light to better illuminate this area.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That it is determined to proceed with the improvement of the following lots and lands by installing street lighting, as described below, pursuant to the authority cited below and in accordance with Resolution 599-19, adopted on December 10, 2019, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and estimates heretofore approved and on file with the Clerk of Council and in the Division of Engineering Services.

A. Elmer Drive at the Southeast intersection of N. Holland Sylvania by installing one (1) 90-watt, LED cobra style streetlight on wood poles with overhead service.
SECTION 2. That the plans, specifications and estimates for this proposed improvement are approved and will be filed at the Division of Engineering Services.

SECTION 3. That the annual cost and expense of said improvement, together with damages, if any, awarded to the owner of adjoining lands, with interest thereon, and the costs and expenses of any such award, shall be paid from the Special Assessment Fund and the General Fund utilities account, by the city in a manner provided by law.
