Recognizing Minister Chris Byrd for his 2021 Stellar Traditional Duo/Chorus Group of the Year Music Award Nomination and making the BMI 2021 Awards 20 Most-Performed Gospel Songs list with his song “Oh How Good It Is”.

 

Summary

WHEREAS, Minister Chris Byrd was among the 2021 Stellar Traditional Duo/Chorus Group Of The Year Music Award Nominees and made the BMI 2021 Awards 20 Most-Performed Gospel Songs list with his song “Oh How Good It Is”; and

 

WHEREAS, Minister Byrd is the Founder and CEO of the Creative Arts & Music Production Program "aka" (C.A.M.P.) which is a program and curriculum designed to prepare high school students for a career in music, where he is presently partnered with TPS and has initially launched this program at Woodward High School and now Rogers High School currently teaching a selected group of students basic songwriting, music programing, studio and live sound engineering, music production, mixing and mastering, and music business; and

 

WHEREAS, Minister Byrd has also established his own radio show titled: “Inside Chris Byrd’s Music Box,” which airs locally every Saturday and Sunday from 4-6 p.m. on 102.3 Proclaim FM; and

 

WHEREAS, Minister Byrd is the founder of True Victory Ministries, Mr. Que Publishing, and Minstrel House Music, a record label/production company, which includes The Minstrel’s Lab Studio, and Radio Show “Inside Chris Byrd’s Music Box”; and

 

WHEREAS, Minister Byrd received a Master’s Degree of Biblical Studies from McKinstry Midwest College of Theology; currently serves as music director and producer for the Rance Allen Group; and is the Minister of Music at Worship Center Church; and

 

WHEREAS, Minister Byrd's music ministry continues to inspire, encourage and transform lives worldwide; To God Be the Glory; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1. That Minister Byrd is recognized and congratulated for his 2021 Stellar Traditional Duo/Chorus Group of the Year Music Award Nomination and making the BMI 2021 Awards 20 Most-Performed Gospel Songs list with his song “Oh How Good It Is.”

 

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
