SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo is entering into a contractual agreement with A & J Landscape, LLC in the amount of $63,325 to be used for the Green Infrastructure 2021 Invasives Control Project. The stormwater control measures called out in this project are components of the city’s infrastructure and critical to complying with the Ohio EPA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for storm water. Bids for said project have been received and A&J has been selected as the best bidder.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into and execute necessary agreements with A & J Landscape, LLC for the Green Infrastructure 2021 Invasives Control Project in an amount not to exceed $63,325 from account code 607A-38000-4000552STDSTD.
SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the account codes above in Section 1 in amounts not to exceed those authorized above in payment of the obligations incurred pursuant to the above authorized contracts upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property of the city and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to implement this program within the shortened time schedule of an effective maintenance program for vegetated sites.
