Title
Officially renaming the City Park located at 4551 Hill Avenue and currently known as "Winterfeld Park" to "Winterfeld Hillard Park"; and declaring an emergency.

Summary
WHEREAS, George T. Hillard has dedicated many years to the Toledo Parks and Recreation Department and specifically the Winterfeld Park Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hillard was instrumental in getting a basketball court, shelter and parking lot in Winterfeld Park in collaboration with City officials and getting additional tables in the shelter in collaboration with County officials; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the City of Toledo recognize Mr. Hillard by naming the park currently known as Winterfeld Park in his honor; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That as a tribute to and in honor of George T. Hillard, that the Council of the City of Toledo does hereby officially rename the City park located at 4551 Hill Avenue and currently known as "Winterfeld Park" to "Winterfeld Hillard Park."
SECTION 2. That all formal actions concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were passed in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Resolution is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and for the further reason that this Resolution must be immediately effective in order to allow for the purchase and placement of the appropriate signage.
