SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Service, Division of Solid Waste, operates a landfill for receiving Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Construction/Demolition Debris (CDD) for the residents of Lucas County. Currently, permitted life expectancy of the landfill is approximately 30 years. Klumm has approached the City of Toledo seeking an Agreement to dispose of residential MSW and CDD collected within Lucas County, Ohio at the Hoffman Road Landfill. The average annual amount of waste to be received over the life of the agreement will be capped at 20,000 tons/year, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the City. Agreement will be for an initial three (3) year period and provisions for up to two additional two-year contract extensions, all with an annual escalator.
