Summary
WHEREAS, Representatives Lisa Sobecki and James Hoops have introduced Ohio H.B. No. 43, authorizing public bodies to meet via teleconference and video conference; and
WHEREAS, H.B. No. 43 has 15 co-sponsors; and
WHEREAS, Toledo City Council supports allowing public bodies to hold public meetings and hearings via teleconference, video conference, or similar technology; and
WHEREAS, Toledo City Council encourages this legislative action that will grant permanent permissive authority for such to Ohio’s public bodies; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That Toledo City Council supports Ohio H.B. No. 43, authorizing public bodies to meet via teleconference and video conference, as introduced by Representatives Lisa Sobecki and James Hoops.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
