SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo Fire and Rescue Department has been offered a donation of 16,250 disposable, for patient use, safety masks to be used during emergency medical responses to contain patient bodily particulates from contaminated patients. The 5,250 Workpro® masks have a total market value of $6,814.50. The 11,000 disposable face masks have a total market value of $4,700.58.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept a donation from Lowe’s of 5,250 Workpro® masks and 11,000 disposable masks for patient use during emergency medical responses.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute a donation agreement for the acceptance of 16,250 disposable masks.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and immediate use of the donated equipment.
