Title

Dedicating a portion of City-owned property located along the Anthony Wayne Trail (State Route 25) at City Park Avenue as and for public right-of-way; and declaring an emergency.

Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The City of Toledo is the fee owner of a certain parcel of land along and adjacent to the Anthony Wayne Trail (State Route 25) located at and known as 824 Anthony Wayne Trail (TD Parcel 18-72161), that lies between Collingwood Boulevard and City Park Avenue.  As a result of certain roadway and bridge improvements constructed by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) along the Anthony Wayne at or near the intersection of City Park Avenue, certain utility improvements need to be relocated along City Park Avenue.  There is currently not sufficient right of way along City Park Avenue, at or near the intersection of the Anthony Wayne Trail to accommodate the required utility relocations. In order to accommodate the required utility relocations, and any future utilities and/or public improvements that may be required now or in the future, an approximately twenty foot (20’) strip of City-owned land needs to be dedicated for public highway and roadway purposes, including but not limited to utilities, sewers and pedestrian improvements.

This project does not require the City to expend or receive funds.
