SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has received an Impaired Driving Enforcement Program Grant from Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Traffic Safety Office in the amount of $45,935.98 to continue a Traffic Enforcement Program.

This grant will pay officers on an overtime basis to enforce traffic laws at locations with a history of violations and traffic crashes. Officers will concentrate upon impaired driving violations. There is no local match required for this grant. The grant will increase enforcement and fine revenue without any general fund cost.

The fiscal impact of this ordinance is as follows:
