SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes expending $35,000 from the approved Streets, Bridges and Harbor Special Assessment operating budget and $35,000 from Facility and Fleet Operations’ 2020 approved CIP funds and for the structural repairs needed at the Streets, Bridges and Harbor cold bay roof. Funds are available for expenditure from the approved 2020 Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $70,000 is authorized for expenditure from the following account codes for the repair and/or replacement of the Streets, Bridges and Harbor cold bay roof.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1 upon such terms and conditions deemed requisite and proper by the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against the above listed account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $70,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow the timely repair or replacement of the cold bay roof at Streets, Bridges and Harbor.
