SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Ohio EPA has ordered multiple projects to be undertaken to mitigate and improve the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant and its related water treatment system. The property located at 724 Collins Park is immediately adjacent to the plant property. The current owner has expressed a desire to sell the property to the City of Toledo. The acquisition of the property at 724 Collins Park will provide additional space for operations, increased safety and security, as well as future improvements. Funding for this purpose has previously been authorized in the Water Bond Improvement Fund as Water Plant Improvements.
