SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this legislation is to authorize the Toledo Police Department to donate 19 pieces of lab equipment that are no longer utilized by the Forensics Lab. The donation of this equipment will be utilized by Tiffin University’s Criminal Justice and Social Sciences Center for Experiential Learning. With this equipment students will be able to experience hands on learning of theoretical concepts. The approximate current value of this equipment is $7,900.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That this Council authorizes the donation of nineteen retired pieces of Toledo Police Forensic Lab equipment to Tiffin University.
SECTION 2. That Council finds and determines that the City of Toledo equipment wanting to be donated is no longer needed for any municipal purpose.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
