SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City sought competitive proposals in order to enter into a new contract to provide pre-employment psychological screening for Police Officer candidates. One (1) proposal was submitted by Dr. Gregory E. Forgac, Ph.D., Inc. Dr. Forgac possesses exceptional academic and professional expertise and experience specifically relevant to pre-employment psychological screening and analysis. Accordingly, the City determined Dr. Forgac to be best suited to provide this essential portion of the pre-employment process for the position of Police Officer.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with Dr. Gregory E. Forgac, Ph.D., Inc. for a period not to exceed three (3) years, with an option to renew at the City's sole discretion for one (1) additional year, for the provision of pre-employment psychological testing and evaluation upon terms and conditions deemed proper and requisite according to the Mayor, Director of Law, and the Director of Human Resources.

SECTION 2. That the expenditure of funds is authorized, for an amount not to exceed $20,000 annually, subject to any necessary appropriations, from the General Fund Account Code 1001-17100-1156001STDSTD for pre-employment psychological testing and evaluations costs incurred by the City through its agreement with Dr. Gregory E. Forgac, Ph.D., Inc.
