SUMMARY & BACKGROUND

Ordinance 64-19 authorized the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Great Lakes Commission (GLC) for the engineering and design of the PENN 7 property. Additional funds have been allocated from within the award for the continued implementation of the Revised Penn 7 Project Work Schedule. The total funding under the amendment is $9,975 to be applied to the engineering and design portion of the project.

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1.  That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an amended grant agreement with the Great Lakes Commission (GLC) for the engineering and design of the PENN 7 property.

 

                      SECTION 2. That the acceptance and deposit of $9,975 into the Operation Grants Fund into  Account Code 2016-60500-7G02019STDSTD for the Penn 7 Engineering and Design Project.

 

                     SECTION 3. That the sum of $9,975 is authorized for appropriation from the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-60500-7G02019STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for engineering and design work for the Penn 7 project.

                     

SECTION 4.  That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 2 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

 

                     SECTION 5.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and so that this project can be initiated as soon as possible for property restoration.
