SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 20-20 approved the appropriation and expenditure of $5,900,000 for 2020 major roadway Matches & Planning Program. As approved the Program was funded through the Capital Improvement Fund. This ordinance amends ordinance 20-20 to fund a portion of the Program through the Street Construction, Maintenance and Repair Fund (SCMR). Amending ordinance 20-20 to update the funding source will maintain consistency with the proposed amendments to the Capital Improvement Plan budget for 2020.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 20-20 which reads as follows:
“SECTION 1. That the sum of $5,900,000 is appropriated from the Capital Improvement Program Fund into Account Code 5040-35000-8CP2017STREET and further authorizing the expenditure of same.”
is amended as follows:
“SECTION 1. That the sum of $4,300,000 is appropriated from the Capital Improvement Program Fund into Account Code 5040-35000-8CP2017STREET and the sum of $1,600,000 is appropriated from the Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund into Account Code 2014-35000-8CP2017STREET; and further authorizing the expenditure of same for the roadway matches & planning program.”
SECTION 2. That all other sections of Ordinance 20-20 remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that this ordinance must be immediately effective in order to amend the funding sources for the 2020 roadway matches and planning program and facilitate this work beginning early this year to meet completion deadlines.
