SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The city of Toledo Fire and Rescue Department has received a community grant from Walmart not to exceed Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500). Fire Station 21 located at Detroit and Glendale Ave will receive the grant, which serves the community of the nearby Glendale Ave. Wal-Mart location. This grant will be used specifically to purchase a much needed tool shed to store and secure station lawn equipment.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with Walmart and to accept and deposit an amount not to exceed $1,500 into Account Code 2016-53000- 3G02416STDSTD for the purchase of a shed to store lawn and garden equipment for Fire Station 21.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $1,500 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-53000-3G02416STDSTD; and further authorizing the expenditure of same for the purpose listed in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the above listed account code in an amount not to exceed $1,500 in payment of the obligations authorized above upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate benefit of Fire Station 21.
