Title

Authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement establishing the Lucas County 911 Regional Council of Government to organize and operate a Public Safety Answering Point; and declaring an emergency.

Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

This Ordinance authorizes the mayor to execute an agreement to create the Lucas County 911 Regional Council of Government in accordance with Section 167.03(A)(5) of the Ohio Revised Code and to organize and operate a Public Safety Answering Point in accordance with Chapter 128 of the Ohio Revised Code.  The Lucas County 911 Planning Committee amended its emergency plan December 10, 2019 to merge and consolidate operations under a regional council of government.  Once formed and organized, all political subdivisions within Lucas County will participate in the merged 911 operation.
