Recognizing Sandy Spang for her contributions to Toledo City Council.
Summary
WHEREAS, Sandy Spang was a dedicated member of Toledo City Council for six years and focused her time in office on improving the City’s financial standing by introducing Priority Based Budgeting, and by reducing the strain on the budget caused by the escalation of 911 calls over her term; and
WHEREAS, Sandy is a lifelong South Toledo resident who graduated from Bowsher High School and Bowling Green State University; and
WHEREAS, Sandy came to her life in politics after spearheading a revitalization project in South Toledo; and
WHEREAS, Sandy will now start a new page with the City of Toledo as Commissioner of Business Services focusing on small business development; Sandy’s life up to this point has directed her toward this new position, as a small business owner she has a unique perspective that will be an asset in assisting those looking to open small businesses in Toledo; NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That we thank Sandy Spang for her dedicated service to the City and wish her continued success in this new roll.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
