SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Warehouse District submitted a District Improvement Program application for the Toledo Warehouse District Gateway Project in District 4. The proposal includes a brick/masonry welcome sign at the southeast corner of Michigan and Washington Street. The District Improvement Review Committee convened on September 16, 2019, and recommended approval of this application in an amount not to exceed $25,000. Additional funding for the $49,593 project will be provided by the Toledo Warehouse District.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That a sum not to exceed $25,000 is authorized for expenditure from Account Code 5040-16400-8CP1817DNGPRO for the District Improvement Program, Toledo Warehouse District Gateway Project, as detailed in Attachment A.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary contract(s) for the District Improvement Program, Toledo Warehouse District Gateway Project upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Neighborhoods and Business Development, the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preserv...
