Title

Authorizing the expenditure of $49,502 from the Capital Improvement Fund for facility improvements; authorizing the mayor to accept bids and award contracts for labor, materials and professional services necessary to complete said project(s); and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

This Ordinance authorizes expending an amount not to exceed $49,502 from Facility and Fleet Operations’ approved 2018 Capital Improvement Fund budget for facility improvements.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1.                      That an amount not to exceed $49,502 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund, Account Code 5040-26100-8CP1811HVACMA, for facility improvements.

 

SECTION 2.                      That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and enter into contracts for the purchase, repairs, replacement of equipment and construction projects for various city-owned locations.

 

SECTION 3.                      That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the Account Code listed in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $49,502 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

 

SECTION 4.                      That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to improve facilities.
