SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Toledo City Council has requested that the city install LED street lighting on Machen Street at the alley between Putnam Street and Warren Street to protect and provide nighttime safety to the area. This legislation proposes to install one (1) LED street light to better illuminate this area.
The annual cost of this improvement is $111.48 which will be paid from the Special Assessment Fund utilities account in which this expense has been included in the 2019 annual budget.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That it is determined to proceed with the improvement of the following lots and lands by installing street lighting, as described below, pursuant to the authority cited below and in accordance with Resolution No. 183-19, adopted on April 30, 2019, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and estimates heretofore approved and on file with the Clerk of Council and in the Division of Engineering Services.
A. Machen Street at alley between Putnam Street and Warren Street by installing one (1) 90-watt, LED cobra style streetlight on wood pole with overhead service.
SECTION 2. That the plans, specifications and estimates for this proposed improvement are approved and will be filed at the Division of Engineering Services Street Lighting Section.
