SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

An application (Z-1003-19) for a review of the Institutional Campus Master Plan for St Johns’ Jesuit High School and academy, located at 5901 Airport Highway, Toledo, Ohio, was submitted to the Toledo City Plan Commission for its review and recommendation.

 

On March 14, 2019, said matter was considered by the Toledo City Plan Commission and the request for a review of the Institutional Campus Master Plan for St Johns’ Jesuit High School and academy, located at 5901 Airport Highway, Toledo, Ohio, was approved and all things required by law to be done, have been done.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1.  That a review of the Institutional Campus Master Plan for St Johns’ Jesuit High School and academy, located at 5901 Airport Highway, Toledo, Ohio, in the City of Toledo, be and the same is hereby approved, as to the property more fully described as follows:

 

A parcel of land being part of the Southeast quarter (1/4) of Section Fourteen (14) Town Two (2) in the United States Reserve in the City of Toledo, Lucas, County, Ohio.

 

Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of said Southwest quarter (1/4) of Section Fourteen (14) with the centerline of Airport Highway;

 

thence in a northeasterly direction along the said centerline of Airport Highway, having an assumed bearing of North twenty-three (23) degrees, zero (00) minutes, thirty-three (33) seconds East, a distance of zero and ninety-five hundredths (0.95’) feet to a road point delta, said point being State Highway station 564 + 90.03;

 

thence North seventy-five (75) degrees, twenty-two (22) minutes, three (03) seconds East along said centerline of Airport Highway, a distance of one thousand two hundred thirty-seven and sixteen hundredths (1,237.16’) feet to a point of curve to the left or East;

 

thence in an easterly direction along said curve, having a delta of zero (00) degrees, forty (40) minutes fifty-five (55) seconds and a radius of one thousand two hundred seventy-six and seventy-nine hundredths (1,276.79’) feet, an arc distance of one hundred forty-six and ten hundredths (146.10’) feet, more or less, to the intersection of the westerly line of the said East half (1/2) of the Southwest quarter (1/4) of Section Fourteen (14);

                     SECTION 2. That the approval of a review of the Institutional Campus Master Plan for St Johns Jesuit High School and Academy, in the City of Toledo, Ohio, shall be subject first to the compliance of the following 4 conditions:

 

                     Plan Commission

 

1)                     Any future development projects, including the locker room/multipurpose building, will require a Site Plan Review to determine compliance with the City of Toledo Municipal Code minimum standards (design standards, drive aisle and parking stall widths, etc…).

 

2)                     Each Site Plan Review will require a detailed site, lighting, fencing and landscaping plan to be submitted to the Plan Director for review and approval. Such plan shall include:

 

a.                     The location, number, height, diameter and species of any materials to be planted and maintained, as well as the location and number of any existing trees to be retained, trees, shrubs, and landscape materials shall meet the standards included in TMC 1108.0400 Landscape Materials Standard.

 

b.                     The location, type and direction of any proposed lighting. The lighting is subject to the approval of the Director of the City of Toledo Plan Commission (lights are to be directed away from adjacent residential properties; and

 

c.                     The location, height and materials of any fencing to be installed and maintained.

 

3)                     Minor adjustments to the site plan that do not violate the above conditions or the Toledo Municipal Code, may be reviewed and approved by the Director of the Toledo City Plan Commission.

 

4)                     No permits shall be issued until arrangements satisfactory to the Director of the City of Toledo Plan Commission.

                     

SECTION 3.  That when the conditions contained herein above have been complied with, the Secretary of the Toledo City Plan Commission be and he is hereby directed to change the zoning maps to conform with the within Ordinance.

 

                     SECTION 4.  That this Ordinance hereby is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to provide for the orderly regulation and use of the property and to protect the land value in the area.
