Authorizing the Mayor to continue the Property Lease with Triversified LLC for certain real property located at 1310 (aka 1302) Expressway Drive South, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio; authorizing the expenditure of funds; and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department entered into a Business Property Lease for the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department's Special Operations Bureau for approximately 7,490 square feet of office and warehouse space as a result of a grant received from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency. Grant funding is no longer available for this project. This space is used for the storage of general and highly sensitive equipment used by The Special Operations Bureau. This Ordinance authorizes a new one-year lease effective January 1, 2019, with an option to renew for one additional year, at the current annual rent of $14,400.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a Business Property Lease with Triversified LLC for a term of one year effective January 1, 2019, with an option to renew for an additional one year, for approximately 7,490 square feet of office and warehouse space located at 1310 (aka 1302) Expressway Drive South for use by the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Law Director.

SECTION 2. That the expenditure of a sum not to exceed $28,800 over a two-year term is authorized in payment of the lease authorized in Section 1 from Account Code 1001-53000- 3341002STDSTD, subject to future appropriations.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against Account Code 1001-53000-3341002STDSTD upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
