SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this work is for construction of drainage improvement and replacement projects at various locations. This work is an annual stormwater program that targets nuisance and chronic drainage corrections, replacement of crumbling infrastructure, and minor capacity improvements associated with roadway projects throughout the city. Funding for this work is included in the Department of Public Utilities' 2019 Stormwater Capital Improvement Plan (Annual Drainage Corrections and Roadway Drainage Improvements).

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $390,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Stormwater Improvement Fund, into Account Code 607B-35000-4UC0819STDSTD for various Drainage Improvement Projects; and the expenditure of same is authorized.

SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to prepare plans and specifications and to accept bids and award contracts in an amount not to exceed $390,000 for said projects including such items as labor, materials, real estate incidentals, purchase of rights-of-way and easements, and professional services as necessary to undertake said projects. Contracts shall contain such terms and conditions as the mayor may deem requisite and proper, and shall be subject to approval by the Director of Law and the Director of Public Utilities.
