SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Historic South Initiative, on behalf of the City of Toledo, applied for a grant through The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and Office of Real Estate and Land Management (REALM) for much needed renovations to Danny Thomas Park. The Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry will oversee the renovations to upgrade park amenities for residents of the area. Passage of this Ordinance is required to enable the City of Toledo to accept the grant.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into agreements and to accept and deposit grant proceeds in an amount not to exceed $400,000 from the Historic South Initiative into the Operation Grant Fund, Account Code 2016-60500-GB2019STDSTD for renovations and improvements at Danny Thomas Park.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $400,000 is appropriated from unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grant Fund into the Account Code listed in Section 1; and the expenditure of same is authorized.
SECTION 3. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purpose authorized in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the directors of Public Service and Law.
