SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
An emergency repair was required for a collapsed sewer lateral in the right of way connected to City Sewer No. 427 located near 711 Woodville Road in November 2018. Since the current North & East Sewer District contract was not finalized at the time of the repair, a separate ordinance and contract are required. TMC 187 requires Council to be informed of the emergency and for authorization to pay the repair. Sufficient funds are available within the DPU operating budget to pay for this emergency combine sanitary sewer repair.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the sum of $16,261 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund to Account Code 6070-37000-535600-4000558STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for emergency repair of a sanitary sewer lateral located at 711 Woodville.

SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to enter into a contract with Taylor Excavating for the emergency repair of a sanitary sewer lateral located at 711 Woodville.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue his warrant or warrants against the account code identified in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $16,261 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
