SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of $856,324 for the City Park Rebranding/Revitalization Initiative to support the purchase of park benches, picnic tables, and grills, the repaving/reconstruction of existing paths and parking lots, and the design, manufacturing and installation of new city park signage.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $856,324 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-60500-8CP1418PARKIM for the City Park Rebranding/Revitalization Initiative.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and so that this project can be initiated as soon as possible.
